Loot victims fight miscreants on Saharsa Sadar Hospital campus, 2 held

Saharsa : In a clash between victims of a loot incident including Kewal Yadav, son of Mukhia of Bejanpatti panchayat in Saharsa District, and a group of miscreants on Sadar Hospital, , campus, on January 23, 2020, four persons were injured. The loot victims, however, succeeded in catching two criminals and handed them over to police, which reached the place of occurrence after one hour despite being informed in time.

Atul Kumar and his associates had allegedly looted cash and cellphone from Kewal Yadab on January 22, 2020, evening, between Veer Kuar Singh Chowk and Pani Tanki at Saharsa. But, Kewal Yadav and his friends had identified the criminals. On January 23, they reached the place where the criminals had looted cash and mobile phone from them on January 22 evening. But, the criminals allegedly again snatched gold chain from Kewal Yadav and started running away from there. But, Kewal and his friends chased and caught them on Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, campus, where in a fight between the two groups four persons including Kewal Yadav were injured but they caught Atul Kumar and Kundan and handed them over to police.

SDPO, Saharsa Sadar, Prabhakar Tiwary, said that prima facie it appears to be a case of clash between two groups and police had taken two persons under custody. The SDPO said that police would also investigate into the allegation of loot.
