Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested a liquor smuggler and seized 144 tetra packs of IMFL besides his motorcycle in the wee hour on March 8, 2017. SHO, Jagdishpur police station, Bipin Bihari said that that he got information that IMFL was being smuggled from Uttar Pradesh. He immediately launched vehicle checking drive and arrested Chandan Thakur, son of Babban Thakur of village Nauranga under Bairiya police station in Balia district in Uttar Pradesh, near Dudhighat under Jagdishpur police station and seized 144 tetra packs of IMFL from his motorcycle. He said that an associate of Chandan Thakur managed to escape.
