Liquor don sets afire wife, daughter in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : A liquor mafia Gulab Singh allegedly set ablaze his wife Madhuri, 26, and his six year old daughter Ananya after pouring Kerosene oil on them at village Belagopi under Gaighat police station in Muzaffarpur district on October 7, 2017. Madhuri and Ananya were rushed to Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, in critical condition but succumbed to their burn injuries on October 7 night.

An FIR was lodged with Gaighat police station in this connection against four persons including Gulab Singh on October 7 night itself. Muzaffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar has ordered for arrest of Gulab Singh and three other accused. Police sources said that Gulab Singh set his wife and daughter afire as Madhuri always strongly opposed his liquor business.
