Ara: Additional District and Session Judge IV, Ara, Yogesh Narain Singh on Wednesday awarded rigorous life imprisonment to three persons and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10.000 on each one of them in connection with murder of a person. The judgment came after 31 years.
APP Ram Prasad Ram said that some miscreants had shot dead one Sitaram Singh at Kataria village under Agiaw police station in Bhojpur district on September 9, 1984, when he was irrigating his field. An FIR had been lodged with Agiaw police station against Ram Awadhesh Singh, Mahesh Singh and Raj Bali Singh of the same village. Land dispute was said to be the cause behind the incident.
