Leopard kills two animals in Gopalganj

Patna : Panic prevails  among the villagers in Kateya in Gopalganj district after a leopard killed two animals in the past two days. Such is the terror of the leopard that the villagers are keeping their animals and small kids inside their houses. The local Environment and Forest Department officials have advised the villagers to go to their fields in group.

A group of Kateya police team and officials of Forest Department are searching for leopard since February 11 night. The locals said that they grew suspicious when a calf went missing on February 10 evening. The villagers very next morning found blood marks and pug marks of leopard. They informed the officials of Forest Department and Kateya police about it. A joint team is searching for the leopard, which killed a goat later. The locals have also alerted the villagers of Bhore.
