Muzaffarpur: Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly Prem Kumar has demanded resignation of CM Nitish Kumar on moral ground saying police had failed to check crime in the state. The law and order has   completely collapsed in the state as criminals have unleashed a reign of terror committing crime at will, he claimed.

The BJP leader was in Muzaffarpur on October 28 night to see an injured transport department employee Satyendra, who was shot at and stabbed near the gate of the office of range DIG the same evening. Satyendra was shifted to Paras Hospital, Patna, late October 28 night.

The leader of opposition told mediapersons that the criminals were openly committing murders and kidnapping had become an industry again. The attack on Satyendra near the office of range DIG speaks volume of the loss the stateaw and order across the state, he said. The leader of opposition said that CM Nitish Kumar was no longer concerned about the safety of the people as he was busy visiting different parts of the country to promote prohibition. BJP MP from Muzaffarpur Ajay Nishad, state president of BJP Yuva Morcha Rajesh Sharma and BJP MLA Suresh Sharmasaid that the recent incidents of crime had terrorised the residents of Muzaffarpur. It may be recalled here that in 2015 a girl was allegedly raped on collectorate premises.

SSP, Muzaffarpur, Vivek Kumar, said police were inquiring into the incident of attack on Satyenra from different angles and the criminals involved in it would be arrested very soon.
