Siwan: Large number of students and people from every section of the society in Siwan participated in the much publicized Human Chain, a programme organized by the Nitish Kumar government for creating awareness about prohibition across the state. Students of different schools came on roads to form Human Chain. Siwan DM Mahendra Kumar and SP Saurabh Kumar Sah inaugurated the programme at Gandhi Maidan. Prominent among others who participated in the programme included former JD(U) district president Murtaza Ali Kaisar, Mansoor Alam, Chandraketu Sah, Rakesh Kumar, Ramesh Yadav and Pramod Rai. The district unit of India Red Cross Society had made proper arrangements for free treatment of the people on the occasion.
