Patna: RJD president Lalu Prasad, his wife and former chief  minister Rabri Devi and their two sons: deputy chief  minister Tejeshwi Yadav and health minister Tejpratap Yadav, did not turn up at Gardanibagh Athletic Grounds where West Bengal CM Mamta Bannerjee held a rally against demonetisation. Mamta had called on them on November 29 evening and requested them to join her rally.

Mamta had particularly requested Rabri to join her as Lalu had pleaded his inability to attend the rally because of his poor health aand while his two sons were engaged in the state assembly replying to questions. The venue of her rally was one km away from 10,Circular Road residence, of Lalu. RJD was represented by its state president Ramchandra Purve and national vice-president  and former union minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.
In her brief speech, Mamta attacked Bihar CM Nitish Kumar without naming him. She said those who are supporting PM Narendra Modi on demonetisation issue are traitors. She thanked Lalu for his support to her anti-demonetisation campaign. Mamta said she had only two choice-either to support Narendra Modi or support the people and she preferred  supporting the people’s plight. Mamta said people have been forced to beg as they can not withdraw their own money from the banks because of poor planning to meet the
post-demonetisation situation. She described Naredra Modi as Big Boss of Big Bazar and regretted even children were not getting milk as tgovernment wanted payment to milkmen through paytms.
Raghuvansh alleged Ntiish Kumar was included in the six-members chief ministers’ panel set up by the prime minister on reforms in post demonetisation management as he supported prime minister. Nitish has weakened the Grand alliance by supporting the prime minister. Nitish is supporting PM at the cost of sufferings of commonmen,he alleged.

Mamta left for Kolkata on Wednesday evening. She was received and seen off at airport by the state protocol officer of the state
government. In Luckow, she was welcomed by her UP counterpart Akhilesh Yadav.
