Patna: RJD president Lalu Prasad has demanded action against Jehanabad DM and BDO, Jehanabad, for allegedly brutally assaulting Neori panchayat mukhiya Nagendra Yadav last month.
Nagendra, who was released on bail after a month, met RJD president here on Thursday after meeting finance minister Abdul Bari Sidiqqui at party office on Wednesday and narrated his story to the party Boss. Nagendra said he had met the BDO and complained about poor construction of Indira Awas units.
The BDO was infuriated and brutally assaulted him resulting in fracture of his wrist and feet. He was sent to jail, where too sub-divisional police officer went and assaulted him resulting into further injuries. He remained in jail for a month and after securing bail came to Patna to meet party president. Even DM of Jehanabad did not hear his complaints, he told Lalu.
RJD president told the mukhiya he would talk to the chief minister and seek action against all the guilty officials including  DM of Jehanabad.
