Patna : Third seed Lakshya Sen, 20, India, reached the semi-finals of Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2022, an HSBS BWF World Tour Super 500 event, on January 14, 2022, defeating compatriot and World No 26 H S Prannoy, 29, in quarter-finals.
World No 17 Lakshya, Sen, who had won bronze medal at BWF World Championships recently, beat 8th seed H S Prannoy in three-games 14-21, 21-9, 21-14 in quarter-final at K D Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi, in 60 minutes coming from behind. Lakshya won 56 points during the match to 44 by Prannoy. Both the players won 6 consecutive points each during the match.
