Patna : Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) scored 183/6 in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) in the 52nd match of IPL-12 at Punjab Cricket Association I S Bindra Stadium, Mohali, on May 3, 2019, night, with all-rounder Sam Curran, UK, scoring an unbeaten 55 in 24 balls hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes, his first IPL fifty, and Nicholas Pooran (wk), Trinidad & Tobago, scoring 48 in 27 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes.
KXIP openers Chris Gayle and Lokesh Rahul scored 14 and 2 runs respectively. Both fell to fast bowler Sandeep Warrier. KKR fast bowler Harry Gurney, 32, UK, leaked 22 runs in the 20th overs ( his 4th over), all to Sam Curran. Mayank Agarwal scored 36 in 26 balls with 2 fours and a six while Mandeep Singh scored 25 in 17 balls with a four and a six. Ravichandra Ashwin ( captain) fell to Andre Russel for a duck. Curran added 32 runs with Andrew Tye for the 7th wicket with the latter not contributing a single run.
