Patna : Kings XI Punjab defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 14 runs in the 4th match of IPL-12 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on March 25, 2010, late night. Chasing a targret of 185, RR could score only 170/9 in 20 overs with opener Jos Buttler (wk) scoring 69 in 43 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes and Sanju Samson 30 in 25 balls with a six. RR won the toss but opted to bowl.

RR captain Ajinkya Rahane fell to spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for 27 in 20 balls with 4 fours. Steven Smith, Australia, scored 20 in 16 balls with a four and a six while all-rounder Ben Stokes fell to spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman for 6. Rahul Tripathi also fell to Mujeeb for 1.

For Kings XI Punjab, Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 2/31 in 4 overs while Sam Curran took 2/52 in 4 overs. Ankit Rajpoot took 2/33 in 4 overs while Captain R Ashwin took 1/20 in 4 overs.

Batting first, Kings XI Punjab had scored 184/4 in 20 overs with opener Chris Gayle scoring 79 in47 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes. Sarfaraz Khan remained unbeaten on 46 in 29 balls with 6 fours and a six.
