Sasaram : Rohtas police recovered a kidnapped school student Aman Kumar, 14, from Lucknow and brought him over to Sasaram on March 17, 2017,  evening. Later,police handed him over to his father. But the kidnappers managed to escape from the scene.

Aman Kumar, son of Bijay Chaudhary of village Basantpur village Buxar district, lives his maternal grandfather (nana) Gopal Chaudhary at village Gopalpur under Nokha police station in Rohtas district. As Gopal Chaudhary had no male issue, his daughter and son-in-law live with him at Nokha. Aman is a student of Standard IX at Oxen Convent School, Nokha.

The SHO, Nokha police station, said that Aman had gone to village Basantpur and was returning to Nokha on March 16, 2017, but was kidnapped on way. When he did not reach Nokha, his family members started searching for him but when they failed to find him out, they informed police. The SHO said that Aman Kumar browbeat his kidnappers and called all his contacts including police from lavatory of the train saying that he was kidnapped. Police with help of mobile tower location reached Lucknow and recovered him.
