Patna : World No 9 Karen Khachanov, Russia, World No 14 Borna Coric, Croatia, World No 33 David Goffin, Belgium, and World No 43 Pierre Hugues Herbert, France, entered the quarter-finals of ATP Halle Open, Germany, on June 19, 2019, night.
Khachanov beat World No 35 Jan-Lennard Struff, Germany, in a tough three-set contest 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in 1 hr 43 minutes in the second round of the grass court tournament, an ATP World Tour 500 points event. Herbert beat World No 123 Sergiy Stakhovsky, 33, Ukraine, 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 in the 2nd round. Herbert will face Coric in the QFs.
