World No 5 Chou Tien Chen, Chinese Taipei, beat World No 7 Son Wan Ho, South Korea, 21-17, 21-14 in 39 minute to enter the SF of the tournament. World No 3 Shi Yuqi, China, beat World No 10 NG Ka Long Angus, Hong Kong, 21-17, 21-15 in 35 minute to enter the semi-finals of China Open.
World No 13 Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Indonesia, beat World no 6 Chen Long, China, in a three-set thriller 18-21, 22-20, 21-15 in the quarter-finals in 85 minute.
