Patna : Parupalli Kashyap, 32, India, has jumped 13 places to be ranked World No 42 with 33,470 points in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on April 2, 2019. Kashyap had reached the semi-finals of India Open 2019 in New Delhi last week. Subhankar Dey, 25, India, has also jumped 4 places to be ranked World No 40 with 33,500 points.

Kidambi Srikanth, India, remains static at World No 7 with 64,790 points while Sameer Verma remains World No 15 with 52,311 points. B Sai Praneeth, India, has jumped one position to be ranked World No 19 with 48,427 points while H S Prannoy, India, has jumped 3 places to be ranked World No 21 with 44,390 points. Sourabh Verma, India, has slipped 1 place and is ranked World No 51 with 30,109 points while Ajay Jayaram, India, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 52 with 30,000 points.

Kento Momota, Japan, and Shi Yuqi, China, remain World No 1 and World No 2 with 1,08,950 points and 85,782 points respectively. Chou Tien Chen, Taiwan, remains World No 3 with 79,874 points. Although Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, remains World No 4, he has consolidated his position by winning the India Open title and is only 30 points behind Chen.
