Karman Kaur Thandi enters top 200 in WTA rankings

Patna : Karman Kaur Thandi, 20, India, has jumped 32 places to be ranked World No 200 with 283 points in the WTA rankings released on July 30, 2018. But, Ankita Raina, 25, India, has slipped four places to be ranked World No 195 with 292 points in the latest rankings. Karman Kaur Thandi has entered the top 200 in the rankings for the first time.

Simona Halep, 26, Romania, and Caroline Wozniacki, 28, Denmark, and Sloane Stephens, 25, USA, remain World No 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Angelique Kerber, 30, Germany, is World No 4. SerenaWilliams, 36, USA, is World No 26 while her elder sister Venus Williams, 38, USA, is World No 14. Maria Sharapova, 31, Russia, is World No 22.
