Patna : World No 97 Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, India, lost to World No 89 Ivo Karlovic, 40, Crotia, in the third round of ATP India Wells Masters at California, USA, on March 12, 2019. Karlovic ended Prajnesh’s dream run at Indian Wells Masters beating him 6-3, 7-6 in the Round of 32. Karlovic will face World No 8 Dominic Thiem, 25, Austria, in the Round of 16.
Gunneswaran was playing his first ATP Masters tournament while Karlovic had reached quarter-finals of Wimbledon in 2009 and 4th round of US Open in 2016. Karlovic had also reached 4th round of Australian Open in 2010.
