Kala-azar assumes alarming proportion in Muzaffarpur, 546 cases detected

Muzaffarpur : Kala-azar has assumed alarming proportion in Muzaffarpur district. In November, 2016, alone 516 Kala-azar patients were detected in the district. The district has become a danger zone as far as spread of Kala-azar goes. The district administration admits that despite spray of Synthetic Paraphied, the number of Kala-azar patients has increased to 546 till date. Of the 16 blocks of the district, Paroo is the worst affected block accounting for 98 Kala-azar patients. The population of Paroo  is over 3.91 lakh. All the 16 blocks are Kala-azar affected.
