Patna: Chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Bihar legislature and former leader of opposition Nand Kishore Yadav on Wednesday said the veteran BJP leader Kailashpati Mishra was against BJP entering into aalliance with Nitish Kumar in 2005 assembly elections.
Speaking at  a programme at BJP office here, Yadav said late Kailashpati Mishra had told the state and central leaders of BJP that Nitish was unreliable persons hence the BJP should avoid any alliance with him. However, he was persuaded by George Fernandes to allow the state unit to enter into aelectoral tie up with Nitish Kumar.
Tributes were paid to he former Governor of Gujarat and one of the founders of Janasangh and BJP in Bihar Kailashpati Mishra by senior party leaders including leader of opposition in Bihar assembly Prem Kumar, state BJP president Mangal Pandey, chief whip of party in assembly Arun Kumar Sinha and others.
Party organised another programme in memory of Kailashpagti Mishra at Buxar where former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi and Buxar MP Ashwini Kumar Chaubey recalled the contributions of Kailashpati Mishra who was finance minister in Janata Party government of  1977.
