Justice Sanjay Karol sworn in as Chief Justice of Patna High Court

Patna : Justice Sanjay Karol was sworn in as the chief justice of Patna High Court at Raj Bhavan on November 11, 2019, at 10 am. Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan administered the oath of office to Justice Karol. Justice Karol has succeeded Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi, who has been transferred to the Madras High Court. Karol was earlier the chief justice of Tripura High Court.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Speaker, Bihar legislative assembly Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Acting Chairman, Bihar legislative council, Haroon Rashid, state ministers, judges of the High Court, Lokpal Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathy, Lokayukta, Advocate General,  and other senior officials were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
