Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : A 35 year old unemployed man Suryadeo Mahto committed suicide at the house of his brother  at Narayanpur under Penk police station in Bokaro district, about 65 km away from Bokaro Steel City in Jharkhand, on March 18, 2017. However, he did not leave behind any suicide note. Mahto was jobless for the last 6 months after he was removed from a private job by his employer  in September  2016.

As per statement of Rina Devi, 30, wife of the deceased to police, her husband left his place at about 7.30 am telling her that he was going to hunt for a job but he instead went to his elder brother’s house who lives hardly 50 metres away. After entering  his brother’s room who was not present, Suryadeo locked the room and hanged himself from the ceiling fan with help of rope. Later, when  other family members came, they found Mahto hanging and brought him down in an unconscious state but before medical  attention could be rush, he died.

Penk police station  OC G Kisku was immediately informed about the incident and he rushed to the spot and later sent the body for post- mortem to Tenughat  government hospital. “We are investing this unnatural death,” stated Kisku.
