Jharkhand police arrest two for demanding Rs 2 lakh from engineer

Ara: Jharkhand police arrested two persons:  Eklavya Singh alias Chhotu Singh and Raj Anand, from Chaukhambha Gali under Town police station in Bhojpur district in Bihar late Monday evening for demanding extortion from an Executive Engineer and took them to Jharkhand.

Eklavya Singh and Raj Anand had allegedly demanded Rs 2 lakh as extortion amount from an Executive Engineer Arun Singh of Bank road in Dhanbad district in Jharkhand on his mobile two days ago threatening him with dire consequences if he did not pay the amount. The Executive Engineer had lodged an FIR with the Bank road police station  in this regard. The Dhanbad police knew through tower location that Eklavya Singh and Raj Anand of  Thela Sarai in Dhanbad had gone to their relative at Chaukhambha Gali under Town police station, Ara,  in Bhojpur district in Bihar to attend a marriage ceremony. The Jharkhand police mixed with the baratis and arrested both the persons and took them to Jhankhand.
