Patna: Lying low for the last two days even as RJD vice-presidents Raghuwansh Prasad Singh and Mohammad Shahabuddin repeately made anti-Nitish Kumar statements and declared him unifit to occupy the office of chief minister, the JD(U) on Monday asked the RJD president Lalu Prasad to tame his men and advise them not to cross limit.

After a meeting at CM house, two senior ministers Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh and Bijendra Prasad Yadav said the RJD president should ask his senior colleagues to maintain alliance dharma and remind them that Nitish Kumar was the leader of the Grand Alliance in which RJD too is a partner. Both the leaders did not take the name of Shahabuddin saying”who is he?” Following repeated questioning by medipersons, they said,” Law will take its own course.”
Lallan Singh, however, was categorical on action under Crime Control Act (CCA) against Shahabuddin (without taking his name) saying he was in jail for the last 11 years. He said the JD(U) will not compromise on the issue of good governance and rule of law in Nitish Kumar regime.
The state JD(U) president Bashistha Narain Singh issued a show cause notice to its MLA from Belhar who had welcomed Shahabuddin outside at Bhagalpur jail on September 10 and was present when the RJD leader had made anti-Nitish remarks.
