Muzaffarpur : The Junior Doctors (JDs) of Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, on April 24, 2017, forced the closure of Out patient department (OPD). The OPD had opened on April 24 morning after four days but the JDs soon reached there forced its closure.
The SKMCH has remained disturbed since incidents of loot and arson on April 21, 2017. Senior doctors are, however, taking care of the patients. Police staged flag march on the hospital campus on April 24 to bring the situation under control though it is still tense. Kin of an injured Sanjay Sahni have lodged an FIR against 22 medicos. Police are looking into the CCTV of April 21, when five private ambulances were set afire on the SKMCH campus which led to fight between junior doctors and ambulance drivers.
Commissioner, Tirhut Division, Atul Prasad, and Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh on April 24 gave some suggestion to SSP Vivek Kumar to improve condition at SKMCH. Police under Executive Magistrates are deployed on hospital campus.
