Motihari/Muzaffarpur: Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday charged Bihar CM Nitish Kumar with creating obstacles in the implementation of central schemes in the state. Inaugurating the first session of Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Javadekar said that the Bihar government wants to establish more central universities and Kendriya Vidyalayas in Bihar but when it comes to providing land for the same it does not co-operate.
He said the state government was yet to provide land for establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Narkatiaganj in West Champaran. Union minister of state for Rural development Upendra Kushwaha also attacked Nitish government for not co-operating in the establishment of more central universities and Kendriya Vidyalayas in Bihar. Union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh said that the centre would establish more central universities in Bihar.
Earlier in the day, both Javadekar and Kushwaha addressed the annual function of DAV Public School on Kanti Thermal Power Station, Muzaffarpur. They were seen in the role of teachers while interacting with school students. They asked the students about their future plans and told them that they could attain their goal through hard labour. Yuva Sungharsh Shakti convener Anay Raj and spokesperson Diljit Gupta submitted a memorandum to the union minister Javadekar demanding all round development of Kanti including 24 hour power supply.
