Patna: Japan ambassador to India Kenji Hiramatsu made a courtesy call to Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind at Raj Bhavan on Friday. The Japan ambassador told Governor Kovind that the Japanese take Bihar in very high esteem as the state is inspired by the philosophy of Buddha. Bihar is the place where Buddha attained enlightenment, he said and added that Japan is very much interested in the develpment of tourists places located on Buddha circuit. Governor Kovind informed him that the places associated with Buddha including Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Vaishali and Kesaraia were being developed in a big way.
