Ara : Hundreds of ITI students went on rampage and staged demonstration at their respective centres on October 23, 2018, in protest against cancellation of their semester III and semester IV examinations held earlier. They boycotted their October 23 examination and blocked the roads at different places by burning tyres. They were raising slogans against the ITI administration.

As a result the entire traffic at Ara came to a standstill and the pedestrians and school going children had face a lot of problems. The protesters were demanding to declaration of their results on the basis of the examination held earlier by cancelling October 23 examination. The students were on rampage while the police remained mute spectators.The SDPO and SDO were trying to pacify the students.

Sameer Kumar Tiwari and Brij Bhushan, both ITI students, said that the ITI administration had conducted the semester III and semester IV examinations in August 2018 but later cancelled the exams and announced to hold theĀ  examination afresh. But, the students are not ready to appear at the examination this time and demanding declaration of their results on the basis of the examinations held in August this year, they added alleging the ITI administration is harassing the students.
