IT conducts raid at Ara trader’s business establishment, house

Ara : The Income- Tax (IT) Department personnel numbering 70 from Patna and Ara led by Sujit Das Gupta conducted raid at business establishment and house of a businessman Biru Kumar at Gudari Market under Town police station, Ara, on December 14, 2017. The raid was continuing till late evening.
Sources said that 70 officials of Income Tax department conducted raids at Sanjay Store of Biru Kumar, son of Mungeri Sao, at Gudari Market near Aranya Devi temple under Town police station. As the news of raid spread, almost all the shop owners in the area put down their shutters. The IT officials also quizzed the family members of Biru Kumar. Sources said that Biru Kumar had opened a bank account post demonetisation in November 2016 for transaction and so the IT had carried out search of his business establishment.
