Patna : World No 9 in ATP rankings and top seed John Isner, 33, USA, retained his Atlanta Open tennis championship, USA, singles title on July 30, 2018, beating World No 57 Ryan Harrison, 26, USA, the 8th seed, in the final. Defending champion Isner defeated Harrison in a tough three-set encounter 5-7, 6-3, 6-4.

Isner hammered 21 Aces in the match to 10 by Harrison. Both the players committed 3 double faults each. Both the players also won three games in a row in the match. Isner won 2 break points while Harrison won 1 break point.
