Bagaha: Gross irregularities in distribution of homestead land parchas for rehabilitation of Gandak flood & erosion affected families of Bhaisahiya tola in Semra-Labdeha panchayat under Piparasi Circle under Bagaha Sub-division in West champaran district has come to light.

Bagahas SDM Ghanshyam Meena has started probe into the matter and sought to know from Circle Officer (CO), Piparasi, as to why the Gandak flood affected families were rehabilitated on the land which had been acquired for the purpose of rail project. But, CO Bhaskar Srivastava has not replied to the SDM even after lapsed of over three months. Meanwhile, Paniyahawa-Tamakuhi via Chhitauni rail project authorities have reported the matter to senior revenue officials asking them to solve the issue. The rail project authorities had earlier repeatedly served notices on dozens of families asking them to vacate railway acquired land where they were settled since 2008.
