Ara : Intermediate examination in Bhojpur district passed off peacefully on first day on February 14 amidst tight security arrangements made by the district administration. Altogether 47,075 students are taking Intermediate Examination at 28 examination centres in the district: 20 at Ara and four each at Jagdishpur and Piro.

Bhojpur district administration made an elaborate arrangement for conduct of fair and peaceful Intermediate examination. CCTV cameras have been installed at every examination centres and videography is being done during the examination.

Bhojpur District Magistrate Birendra Prasad Yadav has deputed static magistrates with police force at each centre and has formed flying squads that pay surprise visit to the examination centres. The DM directed all the magistrates to frisk every examinee at the gate of the examination centre. Section 144 has been promulgated in 500 meter radius of each examination centre and even the mediapersons were prevented to enter the prohibited areas this year. It was said that if mediapersons try to defy the order, an FIR will be lodged with the police against them.
