Intellectuals form ‘Candles of Love’ committee for welfare of poor children

Ara : The  teachers, doctors, advocates, and other influential persons on January 30, 2019, held a meeting on the campus of Garib Nawaz Residential School to discus welfare of children of downtrodden classes irrespective of caste, creed, and race.. Minatur Rahman presided over the meeting.

The meeting a committee named ‘Candles of Love’ with a view to enrolling dropouts and poorest children in the school and educate them free of cost. It was resolved at the meeting that children of downtrodden and poorest family, after identification, would be enrolled in school and the members of the ‘Candles of Love’ will sponsor at least one such children. It was also decided that the children would be given education, dress, food, study materials free of cost.
