Patna : World No 8 and winner of 19 career titles Ratchanok Intanon, 24, Thailand, beat World No 7 HE Bingjiao, 22, China, in the final to lift the women’s singles title at Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2019, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 level tournament, at K D Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi, India, on March 31, 2019.

Intanon, a former World Champion, beat Bingjiao 21-15, 21-14 in 46 minutes in the final to win the title. She won 42 rallies in the match to 29 by Bingjiao. She also won 5 consecutive points to 4 by Bingjiao. Bingjiao, however, still leads Intanon 4-1. Bingjiao had defeated World No 6  P V Sindhu in the semi-finals. Intanon, a former World No 1, had defeated World No 13 Han Yue, 19, China, in the semi-finals.
