Patna : Electing to bat after winning the toss, India posted a huge 377/5 in 50 overs the 4th ODI against West Indies at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, on October 29, 2018, riding on a magnificent 162 in 137 ball with 20 fours and 4 sixes by vice-captain Rohit Sharma, 31, his 21st ODI century, and equally delightful century by Ambati Rayudu. Rohit and Rayudu added 211 runs for the third wicket. Rayudu was run out for 100 in 81 ball with 8 fours and 4 sixes but not before cementing his place in the ODI squad.

With this century, Rohit has hit five ODI centuries in 2018. Out of his 21 ODI tons, Rohit has hit 19 tons as an opener. It was Ro-hit Sharma’s second century in the on going 5-match ODI series and was so full of class and elegant strokes which is evident from the fact that he scored 104 runs from boundaries and sixes alone. Rohit had scored an unbeaten 152 in the first ODI.

Captain Virat Kohli, who had scored centuries in the first three ODIs, fell to fast bowler Kemar Roach for 16 while opener Shikhar Dhawan made 38 with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Wicketkeeper M S Dhoni fell to Kemar Roach for 23. Kedar Jadhav remained unbeaten on 16 in 7 ball with 3 fours and Ravindra Jadeja on 7 including a four.

For West Indies, Kemar Roach took 2/74 in 10 overs while spinner Ashley Nurse took 1/57 in 8 overs. Keemo Paul took 1/88 in 10 overs. Nurse took the wicket of Rohit Sharma.

India dropped Rishabh Pant and Umesh Yadav for this match and brought in Kedar Jadhav and Ravindra Jadeja.
