Patna : India made a competitive 167/7 in 20 overs in the 2nd T20I against West Indies (WI) at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida, USA, on August 4, 2019, night, with opener Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), the Hit-Man, scoring 67 in 51 balls hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes and captain Virat Kohli scoring 28 in 23 balls with a four and a six. India scored 20 runs in the 20th overs with Krunal Pandya hitting 2 sixes and Ravindra Jadeja hitting one six. Rohit has now hit 107 sixes in T20I overtaking Chris Gayle ( 105).

India won the toss and opted to bat. Rohit and fellow opener Shikhar Dhawan added 67 runs for the first wicket. Dhawan fell to Keemo Paul for 23 in 16 balls with 3 fours. Rohit added 48 runs with Kohli for the second wicket. Rohit fell to fast bowler Oshane Thomas making it 115/2. He was soon followed by Rishabh Pant (wk), who fell to Thomas for 4. Kohli fell to fast bowler Sheldon Cottrel and it was 132/4. Manish Pandey also fell to Cottrell for 5 making it 143/5.

For WI, Oshane Thomas took 2/27 while Sheldon Cottrell took 2/25.Keemo Paul took 1/46.
