New Delhi : India reported 2,86,384 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, a little up from 2,85,914 cases on January 26, 2022, taking the tally of cases recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,03,71,500 cases at 8 am on January 27, 2022.
On the other hand, a total of 3,06,357 Covid-19 patients recovered in the country in last 24 hours, up from 2,99,073 recoveries on January 26, 2022, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,76,77,328 on January 27, 2022. India’s recovery rate (RR) 93.33% on January 27, 2022.
India’s Active Caseload dropped to 22,02,472 cases on January 27, 2022, a decrease of 20,546 cases in last 24 hours. Active cases constituted 5.46% of the country’s total Positive Cases o n January 27, 2022, according to Union Health Ministry figure
India reported 573 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,91,700 on January 27, 2022. The case fatality rate was 1.22% on January 27.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 14,62,261 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 72.21 Crore (72,21,66,248) sample tests. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country was 17.75% on January 27, 2022, while the Daily Positivity rate was 19.59% on the day.
Meanwhile, with the administration of more than 22 lakh (22,35,267) vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 163.84 Crore (1,63,84,39,207) as per provisional reports till 7 am on January 27, 2022.
