Patna : Replying to India’s 536/7 declared, Sri Lanka were 131/3 at stumps on second day of third cricket test match at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground, Delhi, on December 3, 2017, with former captain Angelo Mathews batting on 57 in 118 balls hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes and Captain Dinesh Chandimal unbeaten on 25 in 81 balls hitting 3 fours.  Mohad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 371/4, India declared at 536/7 with Captain Virat Kohli scoring 243, opener Murli Vijay 155 and Rohit Sharma 65. Kohli has become first captain to hit six double ton in test cricket all scored during last 18 months. He was out LBW to Chinaman bowler Laxman Sandakan. Air pollution affected the play on December 3.
