Manikchowk (Sitamarhi) : India defeated West Indies (WI) by ma ssive 96 runs in the 3rd ODI at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Gujarat , to sweep the three-match series 3-0 as fast medium vowlers Mojd Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took three wickets each while medium fast bolwer Deepak Chahar and spinner Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each. India had won the toss and opted to ba and scored 265 runs in 50 overs with Shreyas Iyer scoring 80 runs and Rishabh Pant scoring 56 runs.
Chasing a target of 266 runs, WI were all out for just 169 runs in 37.1 overs with medium fast bowler Odean Smith scoring 36 runs in 18 balls hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes while fast medium bowler Alzari Joseph made 29 runs in 56 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. WI were 82/7 after 18.3 overs. Captain Nicholas Pooran made 34 runs.
Iyer was named Player Of The Match while Prasidh Krishna was named Player Of The Series.
