Buxar : Special Court Judge (POCSO), Buxar, Avinash Sharma, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment to a person fpr outraging modesty of a minor girl at Dumraon in Buxar District in South Bihar. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 2.5 lakh on the convict.
Special Public Prosecutor Suresh Kumar Singh said that a minor girl was playing at her house at Dumraon under the same police station in Buxar district on July 12, 2013, when her neighbour Satyamanu Kumar Singh decoyed her and took her to his residence where he outraged her modesty. A named FIR was lodged with Dumraon police station in this connection
After hearing both the parties, the Special Court Judge (POCSO) awarded life imprisonment to Satyamanu Kumar Singh and also slapped a fine of Rs. 2.5 lakh on him under different sections of the IPC.
