Patna : India crushed Pakistan by 9 wickets in their Asia Cup Super Four ODI match at Dubai Internationl Cricket Stadium, Dubail, on September 23, 2018, riding on a 210 run partnership for first wicket between opener Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.
Shikhar Dhawan was run out for 114, his 15th ODI century. Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 111, his 19th ODI century, while Ambati Rayudu remained not out on 12. It was 13th century partnership between Dhawan and Sharma in ODIs, second against Pakistan.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, Pakistan scored 237/7 in 50 overs with captain Sarfraz Ahmed scoring 44 and Shoib Malik scoring 78. India scored 238/1 in 39.3 overs. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan pulverised the Pakistani fast bowlers and spinners alike. None of the Pakistan bowlers could get any wicket.
Rohit Sharma completed 7,000 runs in ODI in 181 innings scoring 19 centuries. Virat Kohli had scored 19 ODI century in 124 innings. Kohli had scored 7,000 runs in ODI in 161 innings.
Dhawan scored 114 in 100 ball with 16 fours and 2 sixes. Sharma remained not out on 111 in 119 ball with 7 fours and 4 sixes.
