Patna : India beat Sri Lanka by six wickets in the fifth ODI at Colombo on September 3, 2017, sweeping the series 5-0. Skipper Virant Kohli  scored an unbeaten 110, his 30th ODI ton, while Kedar Jadhav scored 63 runs and Manish Pandey 36. Rohit Sharma scored 16 runs. Kohli and Jadhav were involved in a 109 run partnership for fourth wicket.

Batting first Sri Lanka were all out for 238 runs with Bhuvaneshwar Kumar taking five wickets for 49 runs and Jasprit Bumrah 2/45. Virat had also scored century in the 4th ODI. India had also won the three-match test series 3-0.
