Patna : India beat Bangladesh by 30 runs in the 3rd T20I at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur, Maharashtra, on November 10, 2019, night, with pacer Deepak Chahar taking 6/7 in 3.2 overs and fellow pacer Shivam Dubey taking 3/30 in 4 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal took 1/43 in 4 overs. India thus won the three-match series 2-1. Bangladesh had won the toss but opted to bowl. Chahar, who took a hat-trick in the match, was declared Player of the Match and also Player of the Series.

Chasing a target of 175, Bangladesh were all out for 144 in 19.2 overs though opener Mohammad Naim played a brilliant knock of 81 in 48 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Mohammad Mithun scored 27 in 29 balls with 2 fours and a six.

Deepak Chahar, who took two wickets on two consecutive balls in his 4th over became the fourth Indian bowler to take five or more wickets in a T20I. India also succeeded in defending a total for the first time in five matches at home in 2019.

Earlier batting first, India scored 174/5 in 20 overs with Shreyas Iyer scoring 62 in 33 balls hitting 3 fours and 5 sixes and Lokesh Rahul scoring 52 in 35 balls with 7 fours. Captain Rohit Sharma fell to medium fast bowler Shafiul islam for 2. Shikhar Dhawan also fell to Shafiul Islam for 19. Manish Pandey remained unbeaten on 22 in 13 balls with 3 fours while Shivam Dubey remained not out on 9 in 8 balls.
