Patna : India were 59/0 after 7 overs at stumps on Day 2 in their second innings in the three-day practice match against New Zealand (NZ) at Seddon Park, Hamilton, NZ, on February 15, 2020, with openers Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal unbeaten on 35 and 23 runs respectively. India lead by 87 runs. Prithvi Shaw has scored 35 in 25 balls with 5 fours and a six while Mayank Agarwal has scored 23 in 17 balls with 4 fours and a six. India had scored 263 in their first innings.
Earlier, New Zealand were all out for 235 in 74.2 overs in their first innings on Day 2 with opener Rachin Ravindra scoring 34 hitting 7 fours and Henry Cooper scoring 40 with 6 fours. Rachin fell to fast bowler Umesh Yadav while Cooper fell to fast bowler Mohammad Shami. Tom Bruce fell to fast bowler Navdeep Saini for 31 while Captain Daryl Mitchell fell to fast bowler Umesh Yadav for 32. Opener Will Young fell to Jasprit Bumrah for 2. Finn Allen also fell to Bumrah for 20.
For India, Mohammad Shami took 3/17 in 10 overs while Jasprit Bumrah took 2/18 in 11 overs. Umesh Yadav took 2/49 in 13 overs while Navdeep Saini took 2/58 in 15 overs. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took 1/46 in 15.2 overs.
