Patna : India were 506/5 in 118 overs at lunch on day 2 of the first cricket test against West Indies at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, Gujarat, on October 5, 2018, with captain captain Virat Kohli batting on 120 in 215 ball with 7 fours and allrounder Ravindra Jadeja batting on 19 in 33 ball. Earlier, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was out for a brilliant 92 in 84 ball with 8 fours and 4 sixes.

It was Kohli’s 24th test century. He had also scored two centuries against England in the recently concluded series. Sachin Tendulkar had taken 125 innings to score 24 centuries while Kohli has taken 123 innings.
