Patna : Electing to bat after winning the toss, India were 264/4 after 79 overs in their first innings on day 1 in the 4th test against Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, Australia, on January 3, 2019, riding on an unbeaten century from Pujara (117), his 18th test century and 3rd in the series, and 77 in 112 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes by opener Mayank Agarwal.
Pujara hit fast bowler Mitchell Starc for a four on the last ball of his 15th over to race to his 18th century. Pujara had also scored century in the 3rd test against Australia.
