Sitamarhi : Incessant rain for the last 72 hours has made thrown normal life out of gear in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar. Almost every year is showing rising trend. Rivers Bagmati, Lalbakeya, Lakhandei, Adhwara Group of rivers, Jhim, and Hardi, all originating from Nepal, are flowing above the danger mark.

The district administration is fully geared up and keeping close watch on the situation. Sitamarhi district magistrate Abhilasha Kumari Sharma along with officials visited several embankment points of river Bagmati on September 27 and September 28, 2019, and issued necessary instructions to officials and Water Resources Department engineers.
The condition of different colonies of Sitamarhi town is hellish due to heavy downpour and waterlogging, mud, and slush. The farmers are, however, appear happy as the rain has brightened prospect of their Paddy crop.
