Chas (Jharkhand) : The festival of colours ‘Holi’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm on the premises of DPS Chas in Bokaro district in Jharkhand. The assembly area was the centre of all activities for Holi Milan. The stage wasdecorated colourfully for the teachers who joyfully presented song and dance items.
The Chief Guest Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Chairman CCRT, President, Dr Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, and Director and Principal DPS, B S City was accorded a warm welcome on the occasion. Also present were several dignitaries including Muralidharan, Pro Vice Chairman of DPS Chas, and Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Secretary, Durga Devi Shivnarayan Memorial Society.
Dr Mohan wished the staff a very happy and colourful Holi. Showering her blessings using flower petals instead of colours, she highlighted that every festival of India has some logical explanation behind it. Celebration of Holi is welcoming the New Year in Spring season when flowers blossoms in varied colours and cheerfulness is all around, she said and urged all to spread joy and harmony.
Principal Neelkamal Sinha, speaking on the occasion, thanked Dr Mohan and the other dignitaries. She wished all staff of the school a happy and prosperous Holi.
