Patna : Hima Das, 18, and Muhammed Anas,23, of India won Silver medals in the 400 m finals in the women and men’s categories respectively at the 18th Asian Games at Jakarta -Palembang, Indonesia, on August 26, 2018. Hima Das, 18, clocked 50.79s to win Silver Medal in the women’s 400m final while Anas clocked 45.69s to clinch Silver Medal in men’s 400m final.
Hima Das hails from Dhing, Nagaon, Assam. She is also known as Dhing Express. She was born at village Kandhulimari near Dhing in Nagaon district in Assam. Her father is a farmer by profession and she is the youngest of 5 children of her parents. Anas hails from Nilamel in Kollam district in Kerala.
