Sasaram: Gujarat police with the help of their Rohtas counterpart recovered a kidnapped teenage girl from Gowardhanpur village under Akodhigola police station in Rohtas district on Friday and took her with them to Gujarat though the kidnapper escaped from the scene.
SHO Akodhigola police station Vivek Raj said that Rohit Kumar, son of Jokhan Dubey of Gowardhanpur village under Akodhigola police station, was an electric mechanics at Paneria village under Satlasnaa police station in Mehsaana district in Gujarat. He fell in love with a teenage girl Vilasawa, daughter of Hari Singh of Paneria village under Satlasanaa police station of Gujarat, and lured her. Both the love birds escaped from Gujarat about a month ago but reached at Gowardhanpur a fortnight ago.
The father of the kidnapped girl had filed a named FIR against Rohit Kumar accusing of kidnapping his daughter. The Gujarat police following the tower location of the girl’s mobile, reached Sasaram on Friday and recovered the girl from the house of Rohit Kumar while sleeping. But, Rohit Kumar, seeing the police, escaped from the scene. Rohtas police are searching Rohit Kumar and the SHO hoped that he would be arrested very soon.
